The controversial and Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour has found its new home for live tournaments this season as they announced a deal with the CW network. Only Saturday and Sunday rounds will air on the cable network, with the Friday rounds playing solely on the CW’s app.
According to ESPN, this is a revenue-sharing deal, and the CW will not be paying any rights to host the content. Previously, LIV had streamed events on YouTube.
With the new season starting in late February, some folks on the internet had some strong opinions (and jokes) on the league’s new television home.

People are scoffing at LIV Golf signing a media rights deal with the CW Network, but their current daytime lineup includes a bunch of courtroom shows, which feels pretty on-brand.

“Full broadcast deal” in that only 2 of the 3 rounds will actually be broadcast, and CW isn’t paying them for the rights, LIV pays for production, and the two entities split commercial revenue.
Not sure that qualifies as a “full broadcast deal”. https://t.co/EJ8orEwNlO
