CONNOR GOLDSON ended speculation over his future at Rangers when he signed a four-year contract extension in June.
But the defender refused to tell Alfredo Morelos or Ryan Kent what to do after they entered the final twelve months of their contracts.
Goldson was widely tipped for a return to England in the summer with his contract expiring but after considering his options he agreed fresh terms at Ibrox.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is now trying to tie down talented duo Morelos and Kent in a similar fashion but Goldson wouldn't comment as he reflected on his situation and how players respected his privacy.
Asked about the pair, Goldson commented: "They’re both still Rangers players now so this is probably the strongest I’ve been involved with at Rangers.
"The contract situation is up to them, I’m never going to sit here and tell them what to do.
"I had my own contract situation last year and my teammates and staff respected my privacy."
And on the squad - bolstered by new additions over the summer to make up for Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey leaving - Goldson claimed it's the strongest Rangers squad he's played a part in.
He added: "They’re both Rangers players at the present moment. The players that we’ve brought in, the squad that we have, when we play 11v11 in training it’s by far the best squad of players since I’ve been at this football club."
