Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) is expanding its push into private markets with the launch of a new platform designed to give wealthy clients and family offices greater access to high-profile private companies before they go public.
The firm has created a platform called the “Alternative Investments Platform” that brings together its existing alternatives business with two new teams focused on direct investments in private companies, CNBC reported, citing an internal memo.
