There is never a bad time to think about exterior design, but now, on the fringe of summer, we have every excuse we need to bring our outdoors to the top of our agenda. As with every year, the warmer weather offers new opportunities to invest in new outdoor furniture – and this time around, we're looking to Goldie Hawn for inspiration.
The actress's yard is the perfect summer setting, complete with a lush lawn, palm trees, and white-painted French doors. If we had to choose a feature in Hawn's yard, however, her patterned outdoor furniture would come out on top. The blue and brown cushion, seen on Hawn's white rattan chair, is a reminder of how an injection of pattern will always make a statement – but it doesn't look overly intrusive. Instead, it brings a sense of interest while complementing the surroundings.
