Gold rate today (September 7, 2026): Check 24k, 22k, 20k, 18k gold jewellery prices from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas, Kalyan Jewellers, Tanishq & IBJA in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad & more cities

Gold prices dipped today (Monday, September 7, 2026) across leading jewellery brands such as Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas, Kalyan Jewellers and Tanishq and the IBJA. The gold price depends on jewellery brands and the city/state where it is being sold, as goods and service tax (GST), making charges and other applicable costs can also add to the bill. It is therefore worth comparing the gold rate, purity and additional charges before making a purchase.

Here are the latest 22k gold jewellery rates from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas, Kalyan Jewellers and Tanishq in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Trivandrum and Bengaluru. Also see the latest 24k, 22k, 20k, 18k and 14k gold prices and the 999-purity silver rate from the Indian Bullion & Jewellers Association (IBJA) today.

Gold outlook

Ashish Rajodiya, commodity research analyst at PL Capital, says, “Gold and silver prices slipped in early trade on Monday after a stronger-than-expected US jobs report revived bets on a Federal Reserve rate hike this month, denting demand for safe-haven bullion. MCX gold is trading below Rs 1,52,500 per 10 grams, while international spot gold has slipped nearly 1% to trade around $4,400 an ounce. MCX silver has tracked the move lower, dropping below Rs 2,37,500 per kg, in line with a similar decline in international spot silver to around $66 an ounce.”

Rajeev Sharan, Head of Research, Brickwork Ratings says "Gold prices are likely to stay under pressure over the next two weeks. At home, healthy FCNR(B) deposit inflows have helped the rupee stay strong, and a stronger rupee usually keeps local gold prices in check even when global prices hold steady. The bigger factor is the US Federal Reserve, which will announce its rate decision on September 16. After Chair Kevin Warsh struck a hawkish tone at Jackson Hole, the market is now almost evenly divided on whether the Fed will raise rates by a quarter point or hold them at the current 3.50 to 3.75%. Any hike, or even a hawkish hold, would lift US Treasury yields and pull money toward these safer, higher paying bonds, making gold less attractive since it pays no interest. So, we expect gold to stay soft, though a softer signal from the Fed could quickly turn things around."

Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of IBJA says, "Gold whipsawed through last week — sliding to a three-week low near $4,300 before rallying above $4,540 on dovish Fed comments, then retreating to $4,477 after a blowout August jobs report reignited rate-hike bets, leaving it nearly flat at -0.1%. Silver outperformed, closing up 0.8% near $66.30. Strait of Hormuz tensions continued to underpin prices after fresh US strikes on Iranian targets. Central banks kept buying, led by China's 21st straight month of accumulation and Poland's 82-tonne addition this year. With CPI and PPI due this week, markets remain highly data-dependent, and gold's next move hinges on inflation prints and geopolitical risk. Gold: Resistance at $4,550–4,570; support at $4,300–4,320, the level that needs to hold."

Vedika Narvekar, Research Analyst- Commodities & Currencies, Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Limited says "Gold bounced back today above $4,400 an ounce but recovery in oil prices is seen exerting pressure again. This week has been more about consolidation, and less conviction. Prices have stayed in a tight band around $4,400. The market is simply waiting for clarity on the Fed's next move. Today's strength was mainly coming from a weaker dollar, now down for a fourth straight day and the August Global ETF numbers. Gold ETFs added $18 bn in August 2026 (2nd-largest monthly inflow ever), pushing global holdings up 121t to a record 4,189 tonnes, breaching the February 2026 peak of 4,176 tonnes. But rising bond yields and firmer crude oil are working against gold. Brent crossed $100 a barrel for the first time since July. Besides all this, there's growing unease about US fiscal health. That's keeping safe-haven demand alive, even with rate-hike odds rising. Markets are pricing in a 60% chance of a Fed hike next week. This week's US inflation data will likely decide gold's next move. Until then, expect gold to keep trading between $4,340 and $4,450 in the international spot and on the MCX between Rs 1,51,600-Rs 1,55,500."
