Gold prices declined across major jewellery brands on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, offering more relief to buyers after highs in early this year. Rates of 22 carat gold fell today at leading jewellery brands such as Tanishq, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers and Joyalukkas across cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Trivandrum. The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) also showed a decline in its latest indicative retail selling rates of 24K, 22K, 20K and 18K gold. However, IBJA saw a rise in its 999-purity silver rate.

Gold outlook
Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of IBJA says, "Gold fell below $4,000 to an eight-month low, heading for its fourth monthly decline and steepest quarterly drop since 2013, down over 12% this month. Silver crashed over 24%, its worst month since 2011. Iran's strikes on shipping and Gulf military bases triggered US retaliation, though both sides paused hostilities ahead of Doha peace talks; the Strait of Hormuz remains contentious. Markets price a 64% chance of a September Fed rate hike, with traders awaiting US jobs data. Technically, gold's breakdown below $4,000 targets $3,600, while silver's break of $60 opens $50, though oversold conditions favor short-term relief rallies."
