Gold and silver prices opened higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Wednesday as investors awaited key US inflation data for clues on the US Federal Reserve's interest-rate path in the coming meetings.
In the domestic market, MCX silver futures for September 2026 delivery were up Rs 2,053 to Rs 2,46,180 per kg. Gold futures for October 2026 delivery rose by Rs 320 to Rs 1,63,202 per 10 grams. Previously, silver fell for three days before today’s gain, while gold dipped in the previous session.
