Gold medalist Jaismine Lamboria to be India’s flag-bearer at Glasgow CWG 2026 closing ceremony

Two-time medalist and reigning world champion Jaismine Lamboria will be the country's flag-bearer of the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.

She won a gold medal in the 57kg category, now owns a total of two medals from commonwealth events having also won a bronze in the 2022 edition in Birmingham.

One of the most successful Indian boxers of recent times, the 24-year-old was crowned world champion last year in Liverpool and also received a silver medal at the Asian Championships this year.

The next edition of the Commonwealth Games is scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad in the year 2030.

The Commonwealth Games are now to be handed over to India.

The rich culture of India and its core values will be highlighted during the handover segment of the closing ceremony of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

The 'Handover Segment' will be done in three acts that invite the audience to appreciate the values, culture, and connection of the Commonwealth countries.
