A 38-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Adam Marriott, who was found dead in a northern Gold Coast home after a fire last Wednesday.
Firefighters were called to a townhouse in Leichardt Street, Coomera, just before 11:00pm and found the body of the 21-year-old.
Police today charged Glen Tipler, 38, with murder, alleging he deliberately lit the fire that caused Mr Marriott's death.
Mr Tipler has also been charged with arson and unlawful stalking.
Mr Tipler is in hospital with burns.
Police said a court hearing was expected to be held at his bedside on Wednesday.
