The clip shown on Friday's Gogglebox was from a story called, 'The Woman Who Was Fed By a Duck' which features Merritt Wever. Wever plays the character Elisa who starts a conversation with a duck while in the park. The pair strike up a friendship before it seems that Eliza develops a crush on her new companion.
The show then takes a strange turn as viewers witnessed the woman and the duck engaging in an intimate act.
As Gogglebox stars reacted in horror, viewers took to Twitter to share their experiences of the scene.
@mummarebecca tweeted: "That show Roar. Is disgusting! WHO the hell came up with that show, and WHO approved it! Yuck."
@AmyHowey16 complained: " That was absolutely disgusting and wasn’t in the slightest bit funny,"
@Rickodunbar wrote: "Well I’m never taking the kids down the park to see the ducks again after that. #Gogglebox."
"Just caught up with #Gogglebox & feel violated," @monkeykezza shared.
@QueenPeggles said: "OMG I just watched tonight’s episode of #Gogglebox and I need to wash my eyes out!! What the actual DUCK?!?!"
"We watched Gogglebox this evening. That duck programme #roar… I am actually traumatised. I’m genuinely upset," @helenrosep_ added.
