Gogglebox favourite Pete Sandiford has been caught teary eyed and emotional by one TV programme as he couldn't help but well up.
The Blackpool father, 28, couldn't stop his tears from falling as he watched Channel 4's The Piano alongside younger sister Sophie.
The programme, hosted By Claudia Winkleman, shows the search for four of the UK's top amateur pianists. Each episode sees a different pianist perform in an open setting and the winner will play at the Royal Festival Hall.
This week's episode saw blind and neurodiverse teenager Lucy playing a piece of Chopin at Leeds station, and it struck a chord with Pete.
Pete, who is expecting his second child with wife Paige, broke down in tears as he watched Lucy perform a jaw dropping rendition of the classical piano piece.
Lucy, who was diagnosed with cancerous tumours when she was just a baby, learned to play the piano by resting her hands on top of her teacher's hands.
Watching the incredible performance, a red-eyed Pete turned to his sister and said: "It's a nice bit of music, isn't it?"
It wasn't long before Pete's trademark cheeky humour came back though when the performance ended, as he quipped: "I'd be getting a little hat on the floor here, cashing in on a couple of quid.
"Come on, it's not free!"
Viewers didn't let the show of emotions from Pete go unnoticed, as they praised him for not hiding his tearful display. One viewer tweeted: "Well that was just precious on #Gogglebox. When Pete tears up, it makes me tear up. How incredibly talented is Lucy tho."
Another agreed as they added: "Pete’s such a softie, luv it!"
Elsewhere on the Channel 4 show, Pete discussed the imminent sleepless nights as he and wife Paige prepare for their second child.
As Gogglebox began, Sophie told her brother she had a lovely holiday, prompting Pete to say: "Stop rubbing it in, I had to cancel mine."
Sophie continued: "You have the gift of a child, so your little holiday cancellation, swings and roundabouts really."
Pete then replied: "That means I have not had a break for years," leading Sophie to say: "You're having another baby, that's a nice holiday."
Her brother retorted: "Yeah, going from one not sleeping all of the way through the night, to then having two, so now we are going to have them awake at different times."
Sophie commented that it sounded like a holiday as they would stay up late on a getaway.
However Pete didn't agree as he joked: "Poor Paige is going to have her work cut out."
