Sophie Sandiford broke down in tears on Friday's episode of Gogglebox as she spoke to her brother Pete about the war in Ukraine.
The latest instalment of the Channel 4 show saw the various families tuning into news coverage of Russia's attack on Ukraine over the past week or so.
As Sophie and Pete discussed the idea of him being called up to fight for the UK in a potential war, Sophie became very emotional.
Father-of-one Pete said to his sister: "I don’t know how I’d feel if I got held back to fight the war. Because what do you do? You can’t go, 'No, I’m going', but by the same token, do I really want to be getting shot at and potentially killed? You know what’s more valuable to me?"
Sophie replied: "God, it's choking me up even thinking about that. Cause I would just stay with you...."
But Pete was having none of it and told her: "No you wouldn’t. F**king wouldn’t let you, you little soft a**e. Stop it you k***head, you’re going to make me cry. We’re here, you f**king idiot!"
"I know but it's just scary," she replied as she broke down in tears and wiped her eyes.
Gogglebox viewers were quick to comment on the emotional moment and took to Twitter to comment.
One person wrote: "Awww Soph and Pete have got me sobbing #Gogglebox."
Another viewer tweeted: "Aww sophie getting upset over the fighting in Ukraine and talking about the men staying behind. They may squabble but can see Sophie and Pete love each other. Great brother and sister relationship #Gogglebox @PeteandSophie @Petesandiford."
A third person posted: "Pete and Sophie have me sobbing. That sibling bond they have is so strong."
And a fourth added: "@PeteandSophie you girl! I want to hug you! doing what everyone else is feeling but on tv. HUGE respect to you #Gogglebox."
