Gogglebox's Malone family shares heartbreak as beloved Rottweiler Lucy dies

The Malone family on Gogglebox have shared their heartbreak after the death of their beloved Rottweiler Lucy.

Their legendary dog is one of three who would regularly appear on the Channel 4 show and Tom Malone Jr took to social media today to share his heartache over the tragic news.

The TV star posted a picture of the family with their pet dog, which he captioned: "Rest easy Lucy, you were a good girl."

Among the comments on the Instagram post was one fan, who said they were concerned after seeing the hound on screen last Friday.

They wrote: "No! We were so worried after seeing her on Friday.

"Please send your family our condolences, we lost our dog in June - they were both very good girls x."

There were a number of celebrities that shared their sorrow at Lucy's passing.

Bobby Seagull, who partnered Tom on Real Dirty Dancing, wrote: "Sending you love Tom x."

While former Love Island star Tyne Lexy Clarson commented with a single red heart emoji.

The Malones have had a number of Rottweilers over their time on the Channel 4 show and have become favourites with viewers, as they lounge on the sofas or across the family as they comment on the TV programmes they are watching.

As well as Lucy, The Malones also had Dave, Bob and Izzie, who would enjoy some screen time.

The family previously had a dog called Frank but he sadly died in 2018.

The passing of Frank proved to be a heartbreaking time for the family, with Shaun saying that it was "so hard" to let their family pet go.

In an emotional post at the time, he wrote: "After 11 years with the family it was so hard but best thing to do for him we’ve had to put my dog frank to sleep R.I.P frankie."
