Viewers of Channel 4’s Gogglebox were thrilled to see two new faces on the sofa with show favourites Lee Riley and Jenny Newby in Hull.
The hilarious duo returned to screens on Friday (12 May) evening to give their take on the week’s television, which included the Coronation of King Charles III.
During the episode, Jenny's two great grandchildren joined her and Lee while they watched the box for a quick cuddle before bed.
Lee couldn't help but troll his best friend by encouraging the youngsters to call her "old" and "wrinkly".
Jenny's adorable great-granddaughter told Lee she called great-grandmother "Grandy" and then hilariously informed her it was her hair and her glasses that made her old.
Lee then chimed in, "and her wrinkly skin?"
Viewers of the show were delighted to see Jenny's family and watch the trolling by Lee and rushed to Twitter to comment on the situation.
“Oh how cute are Jenny’s grandchildren! #gogglebox,” wrote one fan.
Another person added: “Jenny’s Great Grandkids l....as us "oldies""would say Chocolate Box Kids so cute”
“Poor Jenny getting a roast,” wrote a third viewer referring to Lee’s trolling.
Another person commented: “Lee baiting the kids into telling Jenny she"s old #Gogglebox”
While a fifth viewer remarked: “Jenny is a great grandma? Never! She looks far too young. #Gogglebox”
Since first appearing on the Channel 4 show in 2014, Jenny and Lee have become Gogglebox royalty, winning fans over with their hilarious double act from their caravan in Hull.
The much-loved duo go way back, first meeting when Jenny was the landlady of a pub Lee was a regular customer in.
Since meeting at The Crown Inn in Hull, the armchair critics have become inseparable - with Lee even describing his longtime pal as family in the past.
The TV duo joined the cast of Gogglebox for the fourth series of the award-winning show, but Lee wasn't too keen about the idea of becoming an armchair critic at first.
Jenny was first approached by producers at Beverley Races Ladies' Day, but Lee took some convincing to sign up.
"To be honest and I didn’t want to do it. I’d say it took her about an hour and a half to talk me into it – about as long as it took me to get me out of bed," he once explained to The Hull Daily Mail.
Luckily for Channel 4 viewers, the pair have never looked back and are now one of the favourite households on the award-winning production.
*Gogglebox airs Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4
