The accident happened in Halton outside the Woodman pub, and Nat, in his 30s, was rushed to intensive care immediately.

It has been reported that he has required a life support machine, and has suffered suspected brain damage, a broken back, two collapsed lungs and a broken neck.

The Sun have also reported that Ellie has been left "overwhelmed" and "in pieces" by the terrible accident.

Thousands of fans have commented on the Googlebox star's social media posts to wish Nat and her well and send prayers as well as sending messages on LeedsLive's posts.

The Sun reported a source had told the paper that Ellie has "barely left the hospital" and "at the moment they are living hour by hour and just praying that things get better."

West Yorkshire Police confirmed Nat was hit by a white Seat Leon that was heading out of the city.

A police spokesperson said yesterday: "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
