Gogglebox cast member Ellie Warner has asked friends and family to make donations to a brain injury charity for her birthday.
Ellie's request comes after her partner Nat was left hospitalised with serious injuries following a car accident back in March, which left him with a broken neck and a punctured lung, which meant he was place on life support.
The Channel 4 star has been by his bedside since the awful accident, which happened on March 18, and has not made an appearance on Gogglebox since as Nat remains in intensive care.
Posting on her Facebook page, she wrote: "For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Headway - the brain injury association. I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me.
"Every little bit will help me reach my goal. I've included information about Headway - the brain injury association below.
"Headway's mission is to promote the understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide vital information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers."
She has already raised £1,315 which far exceeded the £150 target she set up and also posted a link to the charity.
It is believed that the 31-year-old from Leeds, who appears on the TV-watching programme alongside sister Izzi, will continue to be paid her £1,500 show fee.
The hairdresser has been given the full support of the show's bosses, who have reportedly told her to take all the time she needs.
Ellie and Izzi made their debut on Gogglebox during season six of the programme in 2015.
They are one of the longest-serving participants on the show with only Stephen Webb and the Siddiqui family, who are the only originals cast members from its launch in 2013, the Malone family, Jenny Newby and Lee Riley and married couple Giles Wood and Mary Killen being on the award-winning programme longer than the sisters.
Gogglebox has won five National Television Awards, three TV Choice Awards and a BAFTA for Reality and Constructed Factual Programme in the show's nine-year history.
