Gogglebox star Sophie Sandiford left fans shouting 'no' as she shared a snap on Instagram alongside her older brother Pete. The pair are favourites among viewers of the hit Channel 4 show, which returned to screens last month.
Fans are used to seeing the sibling duo on the Bafta-winning programme having joined the show, which sees them dishing out their thoughts on the latest TV shows and breaking news, from their sofas back in 2017 during series 10. But the pair also have other siblings who don't appear on the show as mum Julie and dad Paul are also parents to Lucy and Harry.
But Gogglebox wasn't Sophie and Pete's first telly appearance and their other siblings have appeared on TV before. The family-of-six, plus family dog Elvis, were hired by TalkTalk when it launched its 'This Stuff Matters' Christmas campaign.
They were filmed non-stop for two weeks with 17 unmanned cameras to find the perfect "ordinary, everyday moments". And it was after that, in 2016, that Sophie and Pete were snapped up by Gogglebox.
But back to the photo in question and before the most recent episode on Friday, Sophie shared a snap of herself and Pete as they prepared for more filming from Sophie's front room. However, her followers quickly spotted a problem and demanded it be changed while also comparing them to a famous TV duo.
The image showed Pete flexing his muscles while chilling in a bright yellow armchair while Sophie put on her best serious face and pointed towards the camera as she lay on the taupe-coloured sofa. Gogglebox co-star Izzi Warner was quick to reply, writing in the comments: "Omg my tiny mind is blown!!"
And fans couldn't cope that the pair were sat in the 'wrong' seats as they usually appear on screens the opposite way around. @dj_dane_73 said: "No no no no you're sat in the wrong chairs! My OCD is in overdrive!" @tom.whiting17 wrote: "You’re in the wrong seats I don’t like it."
@matt_ixxi commented: "The seating position is giving Dec and Ant vibes." @bryan_r_w posted: "Nah this isn’t ok, swap seats immediately! This is as wrong as people saying chips and fish & dec & ant." @banksy2o12 replied: "You’re in the wrong seats you’re like Ant and Dec now swap back."
@queenbroms300 typed: "I’m not watching if you’re gonna be sat the wrong way round! It’ll ruin my night!" @retro.rewind.shop joked: "Now I can’t work out who is who." @hazwan_worstwan added: "P***ing myself bc I thought the photo was flipped until I realised it’s just the people that are flipped."
