Godzilla vs Kong actress dies at 18

Godzilla Kong Kaylee Hottle Jia

Deaf actor Kaylee Hottle, known for her role as Jia in the Godzilla vs Kong films, has died at the age of 18.
Her father, Joshua Hottle, confirmed her death, stating she passed away following a car accident in Maryland.
Hottle portrayed Jia, a teenager who communicates with King Kong through sign language, in both the 2021 and 2024 installments of the franchise.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Hottle began her acting career in commercials and also appeared in the Prime Video series Magnum P.I.
A student at the Texas School for the Deaf, Hottle was a vocal advocate for increased representation of deaf actors in Hollywood.
