A couple was left 'gobsmacked' after their wedding plans were cancelled by a hotel being used for asylum seekers.
Simon Pritchard, 31, and Lucy Campbell, 28, booked the Hilton Garden Inn at the Adventure Parc Snowdonia, in Conwy, for their nupitals more than a year ago, NorthWalesLive reports. They said they must now find an alternative venue or else face calling off the wedding.
Lucy said the pair were told over Zoom that the luxury hotel is now being used as a base for asylum seekers to stay. She said: "When we were told the venue was being cancelled, we were both completely gobsmacked.
