Celtic were handed an injury scare overnight after Auston Trusty was stretchered off during the United States’ 3-2 World Cup defeat to Turkey.

The defender had made a dream start, scoring just three minutes in. Trusty controlled a deep corner at the back post before firing home for his first goal of the tournament.

The defender expects to be available for the USA’s Round of 32 clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina next week.
