An Australian derby erupted in chaos after a goalkeeper was struck in the face by a bin after a pitch invasion by supporters.
Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory faced off against each other at AAMI Park in a game that was already charged with frustration.
Fans were planning a mass walkout on the 20-minute mark in response to the A-League's decision to move the next three grand finals to Sydney.
Just after that moment had ticked over, tempers boiled over and fans jumped advertising hoardings and a bin was launched into the face of City goalkeeper Thomas Glover.
It left him with a cut on his face, with the referee bringing the game to a premature end, signaling for players and management to leave the field immediately, with flares also being thrown onto the pitch.
City were leading 1-0 at that stage.
Melbourne City later tweeted: "Update: Tom Glover is receiving medical treatment in the dressing room and likely has a concussion."
The commentator on the game can be heard saying: "This is entirely, entirely unacceptable. The fans are unhappy, that was understood, that was spoken about all week. We knew that was coming."
