Goal-line stand sparks Chiefs past Raiders

They hate each other. The Las Vegas Raiders have to hate what the Kansas City Chiefs are and they aren’t.

The Chiefs defeated their AFC arch-rivals on Sunday, 27-20. They were dominant on defense, and they were excellent on third down.

The stunning nugget came after a Kansas City goal-line stand.

The Chiefs ran 27 of the next 29 plays in the game, scoring 10 points and crushing the Raiders’ souls.

Patrick Mahomes threw a pair of touchdown passes — one to Travis Kelce and became the fastest player to go over 30,000 passing yards in NFL history.

The Raiders got a touchdown to close within seven but Noah Gray recovered the onside kick attempt for Kansas City.

Kelce’s TD reception was his 75th.

Mahomes is 32-5 against the AFC West. On the road against the division opponents he is 19-1.
