MARGAO: The third Hindu Rashtra Sansad held at the 10th Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan on Friday passed a resolution to the effect that a dharma-based gurukul system of education be imparted with a view to make India a Vishwaguru.
“The current education system has failed in this aspect as evident from the fact that even highly educated youth commit suicide. In the gurukul system, a feeling of ‘family’would be created as students stayed together,” the resolution read.
The resolution was passed following deliberations on the topic ‘how to adopt Hindu education policy in the present situation’.
A resolution was also passed to the effect that schools be barred from celebrating festivals not related to Indian culture.
Resolutions demanding that education be imparted in the students’ mother tongue and that students be taught Sanskrit language were also passed.
