Washington: Amid a raging trade war, the White House's attempt at one-upmanship against Canada appeared to have backfired when online users pointed out that the photograph of a bald eagle strangling a Canada goose had the opposite outcome.
The photograph taken by an immigrant from Goa, Mervyn Sequeira, who has since settled in Canada, became a talking point on social media when the White House posted it on its X account on Wednesday, signifying American dominance over its northern neighbour.
