Carsome, the largest online used car platform in Southeast Asia, has opened its first vehicle refurbishment facility in Thailand.
Located in Samut Prakan, the Carsome Certified Lab, the second-largest facility of its kind in Thailand, has a total area of over 20,000m² and is capable of handling up to 3,000 vehicles per month, according to managing director Sivaphum Lertsansaran.
Sivaphum said vehicles approved by Carsome go through a 175-point inspection along with refurbishments covering all areas, including powertrain, body and paint, suspension and steering, and electronics.
"We have more than 800 high-quality used cars on our website. Customers can view 360-degree images of the vehicles as well as set up appointments for detailed inspection," he said, adding that paperwork and vehicle delivery is carried out by Carsome, making it more convenient for buyers.
In addition, Carsome also offers a 30-day money return policy as well as a one-year warranty at official service centres.
Legendary footballer and Carsome brand ambassador Eric Cantona was present at the certified lab's opening ceremony.
"I am delighted to join the launch of Carsome's first and largest used car reconditioning and maintenance centre in Thailand. Thai customers will enjoy a wide range of benefits from Carsome and have a smooth car ownership experience," Cantona said.
Carsome has 4,000 employees in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand where it has 11 branches located within the Greater Bangkok area.
