Good Morning Britain viewers have taken to Twitter to criticise the show's host, Richard Madeley, after he made a 'creepy' comment towards an England Lioness player after their Euros win at the weekend. Chloe Kelly was on the show yesterday morning (August 2) for her first television interview since the Lionesses' victory at Euro 2022.
When discussing their win and the viral moment Chloe, on scoring the winning goal, took her top off in celebration, The Manchester Evening News reports Richard Madeley made a comment towards the England star which many viewers are calling 'creepy'. Chloe had referred to the yellow card she received as a result of taking her shirt off as "the best yellow card of my life".
She told Madeley and his co-host, Kate Garraway, "I'm taking my shirt off [and] I'm going crazy because a male footballer, they'd be doing exactly the same, so as a woman why can't we?"

As the interview then came to a close, Richard and Kate thanked the star for coming on the show so soon after the Lionesses' weekend victory. Only for Richard to then decided to refer to Kelly with a 'creepy' pet name calling the Lioness 'Coco'. Saying it is what he calls his daughter, also named Chloe.
The Manchester Evening news has reported what some viewers are making of such a term of endearment, which some have seen as disrespectful. @VillaMad3 tweeted: "Richard that sounded really creepy."
@meandmyviews99 said: "She is not Your Chl.oe! #GMB @GMB." @kellymew_ shared: "Richard calling Chloe Kelly Coco #GMB," accompanied by a sick face emoji.
@FlopsyPickle complained: "Richard calling that lioness footballer the same nickname he calls his daughter is just creepy and totally inappropriate. She’s called Chloe, not Coco!"
@YouBearsssssss commented: "You just dont Call Chloe Kelly "Coco" because that is what you call YOUR Daughter who is called Chloe. Show respect!! #GMB #Lionesses."
