Good Morning Britain viewers were left distracted as they spotted something quite unusual in the back of a political interview.
The ITV breakfast show returned today for its latest instalment, with Ben Shephard and recently returning Kate Garraway taking the reigns for the ITV show. As they discussed train strikes and general issues with rail services, Kate and Ben quizzed Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, on her meeting with Mark Harper, the Secretary of State for Transport..
As she was trying to make her way home - via train - she came across some issues with her train, which she chatted about with hosts Kate and Ben - but viewers of the ITV show were distracted by something in the background as she spoke.
Some viewers questioned if they were 'hallucinating' or 'seeing things'.
One wrote: "Not sure which is more bizarre. The glittery nun in the background or nobody mentioning the glittery nun #GMB," as another added: " @benshephard @kategarraway no mention of the Nun behind Tracy there ?? LOOOOOL #GMB."
"Why does that woman dressed as a nun keep walking past the camera? #gmb," a third shared, with a fourth penning online: "Who’s that sparkly nun that keeps floating about? #GoodMorningBritain #GMB."
A fifth wrote: "LOL I did see a Nun blinked she was gone lol lol Thought me eyes were deceiving me #GMB a glittery Nun to boot...why is it so dark there??" as a sixth pondered: "Did I just see a Nun?? or is it happening?? me seeing things #GMB."
Others said the 'disco nun' was the highlight of their morning.
" @gmb @itv never mind this tedious stuff about mayors and trains I want to know the story of the nun with the tinsel. #gmb," one shared, with another adding on Twitter : "Disco Nun is the highlight of my morning so far. #GMB."
Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley also noticed the person in the back of the interview.
She wrote: "Is it me?? Or did you see DISCO NUN behind @MayorOfWY during her interview on @gmb this morning?? did you spot her also?? GOOD MORNING EVERYONE #gmb #disconun #interview #morning #live #tracybrabin."
Following the meeting, Mr Harper took to Twitter to say the meeting was very "constructive".
"Very constructive meeting with Northern Mayors today. We all agree rail services in the region currently aren’t good enough. We're training more drivers & introducing more services but, to fully solve the problems, reform must be delivered and industrial disputes resolved," the Secretary of State for Transport wrote on social media.
