GMB star fumes he 'doesn’t care' about Meghan and Harry as he’s reprimanded by co-host

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been roasted in a new South Park episode for wanting privacy.

On Friday, Good Morning Britain presenters Ed Balls and Ranvir Singh discussed the royal couple with Newsweek's chief royal correspondent Jack Royston, broadcaster Iain Dale and former MP Jacqui Smith.

The South Park episode shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarking on a "Worldwide Privacy Tour" as the programme roasts the royal couple.

"It's quite hard to watch, isn't it?" Ranvir questioned. "It's tough," before Jacqui added: "Listen I'm team Meghan but I still find it funny. The post saying, 'Stop looking at us.'"

After discussing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Ranvir mocked Ed for joining in on the debate despite "not caring" about the royal couple.

"We've spent a good few minutes talking about something you don't care about," Ranvir quipped.

"I really don't care, I really don't care," the former Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer remarked.

Mocking her Good Morning Britain co-host, Ranvir said: "You really don't care. You're so upset. That's literally how it is."

"Let me tell you how much I don't care," he joked as the ITV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star hit back: "That typified the British response right there."

Elsewhere in the discussion, Newsweek's chief royal correspondent detailed the fall in popularity of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Jack said: "They've transitioned from being Obama 2.0 these really serious celebrities to being figures of ridicule."

The royal expert pointed to examples of the couple being mocked by Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Fallon and other mainstream US comedy shows.

The Good Morning Britain guest pointed out Harry and Meghan have "crashed" in US opinion polls before and after the release of the Duke of Sussex's memoir Spare earlier this year.

Iain Dale and Jacqui Smith also joined the dicussion (ITV)

"Public opinion in America has swung significantly against them," the royal expert continued. "Harry dropped 45 points."

The poll questioned was: "Do you feel favourably or unfavourably about Prince Harry and Meghan?"

Jack revealed: "They were deep into positive numbers, sitting pretty before Netflix and now they're both in minus numbers."
