GMB's Andi Peters forced to present on his phone after technical blunder by Clifton Suspension Bridge

Good Morning Britain's Andi Peters suffered a huge technical blunder whilst presenting the show from the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Andi was hosting the competition segment from Bristol this morning (March 23) but was forced to go live from his phone after all his equipment went down.

He had been appearing live throughout the show to give fans a chance to win a huge amount of money, but during the final segment, he had to use his phone to show off the stunning surroundings at Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge, reports the Mirror.

Addressing what happened, he said: "It's Wednesday morning, it's 8.48. You're watching Good Morning Britain. That is the Clifton Suspension bridge here in Bristol and I've got a chance for you to win a huge prize.

"I've gone a bit rogue. Our technology, which is all over here, has all broken down, so I'm just doing it on my phone - why not? It's been two years since we went into lockdown and it feels like lockdown again.

"How do you fancy £100,000? It's probably all reversed and the wrong way round!" Andi then went on to tell fans what they could win as part of the huge prize.

Earlier in the show today, Susanna Reid joked about her 'wild' university days in Bristol as Andi presented from the hotel where she'd visit for drinks as a student.

"Adil, Susanna, I'm not sure if either of you have been here, but look at that, what an amazing structure! And I'm not talking about the bridge!" Andi said as it crossed back over to Susanna and Adil Ray in the studio.

"I was at uni there! Andi I think you might just be in front of the Avon Gorge hotel," Susanna said, as Andi added: "It's been renamed! It's the Hotel du Vin - they'll love me for that, two free nights please madam! - Avon Gorge hotel. Same place though, same place."

Susanna then confessed it was one of her university haunts.

"We used to all go for a drink there after we graduated. Andi, thanks - that brings back lovely lovely memories," she said, as fellow presenter Adil questioned her on whether her days at university were particularly wild.
