Good Morning Britain presenter Alex Beresford ended up apologising to the Queen after he was criticised by his co-hosts Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins.
As the Jubilee weekend began, Alex presented in front of Buckingham Palace but Adil and Charlotte didn't like that he didn't wear a tie.
"One thing has been noted about your appearance today Alex," Charlotte told the presenter.
"It's the lack of a tie. I mean, hello? You're right by Buckingham Palace."
Adil jumped in to agree with Charlotte and asked him: "I mean come on. Where's the tie?"
Alex said he would go and find a tie to wear after responding with: "Off with his head. I'm so sorry."
He added: "If her Majesty is watching - I'm so sorry."
Charlotte agreed that Alex should apologise and jokingly reminded him that the GMB set came complete with their 'best tea set' and 'you're not even wearing a tie.'
It was all banter between the presenters as Adil told Alex: "You look great mate. You always look great."
Alex was covering the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, with the ITV talk shows discussing the royal family as well as the four-day weekend festivities.
The Platinum Jubilee is to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II becoming the first British monarch with 70 years of service.
The entire country will get involved in marking the occasion, with thousands of events all across the UK as well as abroad.
While some will join the crowds in London, many others will take part in local festivities or parties, or raise a glass to her Majesty while watching the events on TV.
In a spectacular event to kick off the Bank Holiday celebrations, over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians moved down the Mall from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guard’s Parade.
