Good Morning Britain presenter Andi Peters has insisted that the competitions on the ITV morning show are real - leaving viewers baffled.
On Friday morning's instalment of Good Morning Britain, cheerful Andi headed to Jersey where he once again encouraged viewers to enter the latest competition as £125,000 is up for grabs for one lucky winner.
But viewers at home were left pondering why the host was pushing the competition so hard as he insisted that previous winners were 'real' before the cameras cut to a lucky former winner of a huge GMB jackpot who said the staggering pay cheque changed her life.
"Real people win all of our competitions, and genuinely, it is the most asked question - whenever I'm in the supermarket and it's always when I'm picking out the toilet roll, someone says 'Oh, you're Andi Peters. Does anyone real win your competitions?'
Andi then went on to show 'proof' that real people snap up the huge cash prizes every single week as former winner Andrea detailed how her life changed for the better after scooping the staggering fee.
"My name is Andrea, and I won £125,000 and a Mercedes-Benz on GMB," she told viewers before encouraging them to enter.
"If you see the competition on the telly, just pick up your phone or pick up your laptop and enter.
"If you don't enter, you will never know what this feels like. It's amazing."
Following the 'bizarre' segment, some viewers took to Twitter to question why ITV producers felt the need to clarify that the competitions on Good Morning Britain are real.
"Why is Andi Peters really selling the comps? Nobody must be entering them lol," one mocked.
"GMB bosses bringing on a winner to tell people that she actually did win money makes me feel like she actually didn't hahaaha. Paid actor," another joked.
A third tweeted: "Andi Peters is well defensive this morning."
"I might actually enter the GMB comps after this you know," another shared.
Good Morning Britain continues on Monday at 6AM on ITV.
