Over the weekend, thousands of protesters gathered in cities around the world to show solidarity with the people of Gaza and call for a ceasefire in the region. In Amman, Jordan, police were seen pushing back against a large crowd of demonstrators on 'Land Day,' as they chanted, held signs, and waved Palestinian flags.
In Tunis, Tunisia, a demonstrator expressed that the march was a way to support the Palestinian people who have been suffering for years. The event coincided with 'Land Day' and aimed to raise awareness about the ongoing oppression faced by Palestinians.
Meanwhile, in Paris, a French-Palestinian lawyer called for France to end its complicity in what he described as an ongoing genocide in Gaza. He urged the country to stop selling arms to Israel and impose military and economic sanctions on the occupying force. Left-wing politician Manon Aubry also participated in the demonstration.
London also saw a significant police presence as a pro-Palestinian march took place alongside a smaller pro-Israeli demonstration. Participants waved Palestinian flags as they marched through the streets.
In New York, protesters marched through the streets, chanting and playing drums to show their support for the people of Gaza. The global demonstrations reflect a growing concern over the situation in Gaza and a call for international action to address the conflict.
