Online fast-fashion retailer Shein swung to a $99 million loss in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting slowing sales after the United States ended a duty exemption for low-value imports and the impact of a significant one-time accounting charge, according to its draft prospectus filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Reuters reported.
According to Reuters, the filing marks the first public disclosure of Shein's detailed financial performance ahead of its long-awaited Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO). The prospectus did not reveal the size of the offering or the expected price range.
