Global Heart Hub finds women delay seeking heart care by continuing to put others first

  • Heart symptoms continue to be dismissed or mistaken for other conditions, such as anxiety, new global patient-led research reveals.
  • Findings were presented at the European Society of Cardiology's ACNAP Congress 2026, organised by the Association of Cardiovascular Nursing & Allied Professions, the leading congress for nurses and allied professionals committed to advancing patient-centred cardiovascular care.

GALWAY, Ireland, June 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Heart Hub, the international alliance of heart patient organisations, has released insights from their latest patient-led qualitative research study exploring women's experiences with cardiovascular disease.
