New Delhi: Global commodity prices are expected to remain elevated in the coming months as geopolitical tensions in West Asia continue to disrupt supply chains and adverse weather conditions threaten agricultural output, according to a report by Bank of Baroda (BoB).
The report noted that commodity markets have witnessed a sharp surge since the outbreak of the conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran in late February 2026, with the impact spreading across energy, metals, fertilizers, food commodities and raw materials.
