People Before Profit MLA Gerry Carroll has called for an end to "reckless" attacks on Glider and Metro workers.
Mr Carroll raised the issue with Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon in an Assembly question, asking for an update on the action being taken to ensure Glider and Metro workers are safe from attack.
Translink services in Mr Carroll's own West Belfast constituency have been temporarily terminated on a number of occasions recently due to incidents.

He told Belfast Live : "Nobody at their place of work should be subject to verbal abuse or threatening and intimidating behaviour, least of all our frontline and essential workers transporting the community to and from work every day.
"From speaking with Glider and Metro bus drivers, they strongly feel more needs to be done to protect them and to cease these reckless attacks. I would very much echo these calls.
"We need to send a clear and unequivocal message that these attacks should immediately stop. Solidarity with all our transport workers who are faced with this," Mr Carroll added.
In response, Ms Mallon said: "The safety of our public transport workers and passengers is vitally important. Our public transport workers deserve to feel safe doing their job and should not be subjected to attacks, either verbal or physical.
"In line with that, Translink continues to engage with PSNI, trade union representatives and local communities to ensure the continued safety of its customers, staff and services.
"In response to the attacks on our Glider and Metro staff, Translink has put in place a series of measures to ensure the safety of staff and customers."
The Minister said these actions have been fluid to the situation and have included temporary curtailment or alteration to some bus services; Translink operational personnel working within the PSNI Command Centre; additional Translink mobile support vehicles being deployed supporting drivers and services where required; regular update meetings between Translink and the trade unions; daily reviews with PSNI and engagement with local communities.
"Following engagement, the PSNI has also increased resources on the ground to support community safety including Translink services," she added.
"In addition, I have also approved the Safe Transport Team pilot that brings a dedicated policing resource team onto our public transport network."
