Glen Johnson claims managing Celtic is EASY as he takes a potshot at Ange and Scottish football in wild West Ham theory

Ex-England star Glen Johnson has told Ange Postecoglou that managing Celtic is "not a difficult job" as he insisted the boss will want a Premier League job like West Ham.

Postecoglou''s heroics since stepping into the Celtic hot seat have seen him linked with several high profile jobs south of the border with Tottenham and Chelsea touted among the interest parties, with the Australian on the brink of leading the Hoops to back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles. If he claims the Scottish Cup for the first time since arriving at Celtic Park he will complete a domestic Treble - only ramping up speculation over a move to England's top flight.

Former West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool full back Johnson has played down the achievements of Postecoglou during his time in Scottish football - insisting Postecoglou would take any approach from the Premier League "seriously". Speaking about the prospect of the Parkhead boss replacing David Moyes, Johnson declared the Hammers would not be the right fit.

But speaking to King Casino Bonus he took a swipe at Scottish football - and reckons Postecoglou's interest would be peaked by a move to the London Stadium. He said: "Ange Postecoglou shouldn't take on the challenge of West Ham (if offered), but I'm sure he would want to.

"He is doing well at Celtic - but that is not a difficult job to do. Celtic are way better than West Ham at the moment, but any manager would take an offer from the Premier League quite seriously."
