Dianna Argon has addressed old rumours that she and Taylor Swift were engaged in a secret romance.
The former Glee star was first tied to Taylor back in the early 2010s, after they were spotted out and about together. They also attended Shirley MacLaine's 78th birthday together in 2012.
In celebration of her birthday, Dianna threw a circus-themed costume party which Taylor described at the time as "the most magical night."
Fans later speculated that Taylor's 2012 single 22 was inspired by the pair's fling after they found that her name appears in the liner notes - the notes that come in booklets with CDs - for the song, along with Selena, Ashley and Claire.
The lyrics detail going on a night out and falling in love with a stranger. Taylor sings: "Everything will be alright if you keep me next to you / You don't know about me, but I'll bet you want to / Everything will be alright if we just keep dancing like we're 22."
However, in a chat with Rolling Stone, Dianna confirmed that the duo have only ever shared a "friendship," but admitted to finding the theory "interesting."
"Me? Oh, if only!" she said. "That's more because of a friendship than being the inspiration for the song but I would not be the person to ask about that. I cannot claim that!"
After being given more clarity about the rumoured relationship, Dianna added that she was completely in the dark about the idea.
"That is so interesting. I mean, there have been many stories about my dating life that are so wildly untrue. That's funny."
Taylor's fans have previously theorised about the singer's sexuality and have insisted she's dated several famous women, including the former friend Karlie Kloss.
However, more recently, Taylor yet to confirm or deny her sexuaity but continues to progress with her alleged romance with 197 singer Matt Healy.
Taylor was tied to the British singer after she split from her long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn earlier this year.
While neither has confirmed or denied the romance, Taylor has now seemingly referenced her "new man" during her concert in Nashville, which Matt attended.
According to footage shared on social media, the Love Story singer was caught at the gig mouthing: "This is about you, you know who you are. I love you," before bursting in to Cardigan from her Folklore album.
