Greater Glasgow residents can see Frankie Boyle, Susie McCabe and Peppa Pig for a fiver at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Assembly Festival, which makes up part of the Fringe venues, is offering all those with a G postcode £5 tickets over the opening weekend, August 3 to 7 inclusive. Comics, acrobats, circus performers, choirs and more acts are flying into Scotland's capital for the festival.
Closer to home comedy stars Frankie Boyle and Susie McCabe are sure to have punters in hysterics at their run of gigs. And on the bill for little aspiring thespians is a big booking for the Fringe - Peppa Pig.

Peppa Pig – My First Concert is an interactive show performed with the Aurora Orchestra, where audiences learn different instrument sounds and can sing along to Peppa’s favourite songs.
William Burdett-Coutts, artistic director of Assembly Festival told Glasgow Live:“After two years of not running a full programme, I’m delighted that we are now able to begin celebrating our delayed 40th anniversary with a world-class programme of well over 200 shows. We have artists coming to perform from every corner of the world and we hope that audiences from all over Scotland and beyond will take up this offer and come to Edinburgh in August to enjoy the festival.”
The deal was launched on July 1 on a first-come-first-served basis and tickets can be snapped up on the Assemble Festival's website.
