Glastonbury weather forecast for Wednesday June 21 to Sunday June 25

Glastonbury is one of the world's most famous music festivals and it is attended by coach loads of Scousers every year.

This year will see Elton John headline during the five-day event as music lovers head to Worthy Farm in Somerset. Since the first Glastonbury in 1970, the festival has seen all weathers with many seasoned campers knowing to pack their wellies just in case.

While the UK has been enjoying a glorious heatwave filled with clear skies, things have been cooling off over the weekend. So what are the forecasts for Glastonbury this year?

It would seem, mostly dry, even if temperatures are not as hot as they were for the same time last week. The Met Office said: "A mixture of sunny spells and scattered heavy showers on Wednesday.

"Drier on Thursday with some sunshine before turning cloudier on Friday. Winds generally light and feeling warm."

Wednesday, June 21

Wednesday will start dry but cloud cover at around 10am will bring some light showers throughout the day until 7pm. Temperatures will be at the highest 21°C and a mild 16°C overnight. There will be a light south westerly breeze but could feel quite humid at times.

Thursday, June 22

Thursday will be drier and warmer than Wednesday with highs of 22°C and 17VC overnight. Light showers are expected late afternoon but will soon give way to a clear evening with a light westerly breeze.

Friday, June 23

Friday is expected to be dry all day but with significant cloud cover. It will remain warm with highs of 23°C and 18°C overnight. It is will feel a little humid despite the light southern breeze.

Saturday, June 24

Temperatures continue to rise as the event goes on with highs of 24°C expected on Saturday and 18°C overnight. The southern breeze continues as there is forecast for cloud, yet plenty of sunshine to keep music lovers happy at Worthy Farm.

Sunday, June 25

The heat of the week continues with highs of 25°C on Sunday and brilliant sunshine is forecast to bring Glastonbury to a close.
