Almost a third of ticketholders arrive at the festival by public transport. From Bristol, there are several options as well as many services for those travelling from further afield.

Organisers have advised you to make sure you approach the site on the side that you want to park. Using local roads to get to the opposite side of the site causes delays so use main roads that are well away from the site.

The festival is encouraging those who are planning to travel by car to lift share as much as possible to be greener. It also helps share the cost of fuel. There are a number of independent operators (unaffiliated with the festival) including LiftShare and Go Car Share.
Bike to Glasto
Glastonbury Festival has arranged a secure compound for you to leave your bike while you get on and enjoy the festival. There are other perks including a private campsite for cyclists only with wood-fired showers available in the mornings, Wednesday to Sunday. It's completely free of charge but must be booked through the Bike to Glasto website.
Motorbike
Motorcycles are not permitted on site and must be parked in the free, secure compound near the Festival Bus Station. To find this, follow the signs for Yellow Route and staff will then direct you. Motorcycles do not require a car parking pass. Helmets and other motorbike gear can be stored free in the property lock-ups.

The closest airport to Glastonbury Festival is Bristol International Airport, which serves a number of European destinations. National Express will also be running coach services from Heathrow Airport directly to the festival. Return tickets must be pre-booked and are available online.
There is also a regular bus link from Bristol Airport called the Bristol Airport Flyer which can take you from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station.
Drop and collection point
If someone is dropping you off or collecting you in their own car, the festival will ask you go to the point located to the east of the site for safety purposes. There is a constant shuttle bus that runs from here to Pedestrian Gate A throughout the event.
To get there, head towards Evercreech on the A371 and follow the signs for Drop and Collect or DC. Plan a route that keeps you away from the immediate area of the Festival as the A361 is closed for through traffic.
