Glastonbury Festival 2023: Dave Grohl fuels 'The Churnups' rumours with cryptic post

Dave Grohl has sent Glastonbury-going fans into a frenzy after posting a cryptic message on Twitter. With just two weeks to go until all eyes are cast upon Worthy Farm in Somerset, festivalgoers have been wondering who on earth "The Churnups" are.

The mysterious band appeared on the Glastonbury Festival line-up recently, and is billed to perform on the Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 23. After some research, revellers were unable to find any record of a band with that name existing, causing fans to speculate the true identity of "The Churnups".

Glastonbury Festival, which returned for the first time post-pandemic in 2022, has not given into fans' demands to know who "The Churnups" are. There are secret acts and surprise guests at the famous Somerset festival every year, with George Ezra playing a secret set on the John Peel Stage and Paul McCartney inviting Bruce Springsteen and Dave Grohl to perform with him on the Pyramid Stage last summer.
