Glastonbury 2023 confirms Field of Avalon line-up with Mel C, The Damned and Will Young

Mel C, Will Young and The Damned have all been confirmed to perform at Glastonbury 2023. Field of Avalon is traditionally known for its folk, roots and contemporary music, organisers have revealed a full line-up for this year's return to Worthy Farm in June.

Last year saw the likes of Tanita Tikaram, McFly and Sugababes perform, with the latter attracting a crowd of festivalgoers attempting to squeeze their way to the Avalon Stage, which shut down the area.

This year, big names include one-fifth of the Spice Girls - Melanie C - Laura Mvula, Lissie, The Special's Neville Staple and Will Young. Singer songwriter and Glastonbury veteran Beans on Toast is also set to perform at Field of Avalon once again.

The festival said: "Once again the heart of Worthy Farm, the Field of Avalon will come alive again with the spirit of Albion fayre. From its origins in folk, we host roots music through to soul, punk, pop, blues and ska. Like an island in the sea of Glastonbury, the Field of Avalon maintains its unbroken connection to the earthy Eden.

"Once part of the Greenfields it remains as one of the original areas still visited by a diverse lineage of legendary musicians, artists and fellow pilgrims. Festival travellers come to rest their weary legs and recharge with a pint of ale, delicious food and some of the best and diverse musical programs on site.

"Expect days of eclectic music representing the best in the world of contemporary, roots and folk music, a gender equal line-up and intimate, never-forget Glastonbury moments when you visit the Field of Avalon area."
