A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car in Glasgow.
The crash involving the pedestrian and vehicle took place on Prospecthill Road in the Toryglen area near to St Brigid's Primary School around 7.55pm last night.
Emergency services raced to the scene and a 52-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Her current condition is unknown.
Police have confirmed that a 39-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.

He has been released pending further enquiries into the crash.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to a crash involving a pedestrian and a car on Prospecthill Road, Glasgow.
"The 52-year-old female pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
"A 39-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and was released pending further enquiries.”
