The nine-part series is part of Race Across the World which this year, is set to take place across the stunning backdrop of Canada.
With no mobile phones, internet access, credit cards, air travel or any of the trappings of modern-day life to assist them, the race is well and truly on with a £20,000 cash prize awaiting the fastest team.

The third instalment of the BAFTA-winning series is said to be the most "extreme to date" according to the BBC with five pairs of intrepid travellers racing across ocean to ocean.
This year’s fierce five pairs consist of: best friends Cathie and Tricia; brothers Marc and Michael; husband and wife Mobeen and Zainib; and two father and daughter duos – Kevin and Claudia, and Ladi and Monique.
Starting out at the very edge of the Pacific Ocean in Vancouver – the teams will travel over 16,000 kilometres across six time zones all at ground level to the finish line perched on the rugged Atlantic coast, North America’s most easterly city - St John’s Newfoundland.
Relying on their travel skills and ingenuity as well as the kindness of strangers, Couple Mobeen and Zainib are among those taking part - but what do we know about them? Here's what you should know before tonight's show.
Mobeen from Manchester, who is 31, is married to Zainib, 32, who originally is from Glasgow but later moved down to Manchester and soon, the couple will embark on the competition journey together.
Talking about taking part in the series, Psychiatrist Zainib said: "I think there's personal reasons, individually, and there's a collective reason for both of us. I think the both of us have always spoken about wanting to get a sense of adventure, wanting to go out there and do something that's out of the ordinary, but then we very gradually and sort of almost insidiously slipped into this life of nine to five, working and then coming home and that sense of adventure was completely gone.
"Then COVID happened, and it just feels like all we've been doing is working and watching TV. So, for us, it’s needing that sense of adventure again, we need to go back to the things that ignite our excitement. We're in our early 30s and we are living like we are in our 80s to be honest. We just want to do something that's not your usual."
When it comes to tips and tricks they've picked up along the way by looking back at the previous two series, the pair have said that they will make sure they work together as a team with Mobeen saying he will make sure to "appreciate each other's qualities because we both bring different things to the table."
Zainib added: "Talk to the locals. I think the locals are the ones that are going to have the best knowledge and know the cheapest and fastest ways to get around. Speak to people around you, don't try and figure it out on your own and be smart and don’t think that you know everything. It’s very important to speak to those that live in the local area. So, we're going to try and speak to people as much as we can, wherever we go."
Discussing their reason for travelling together, Zainib explained: "I don't really do adventurous things as much as I'd love to. I feel quite safe and secure at home. I’m not trying to be cheesy or corny, but he is like my home away from home, when I've got him I feel safe and secure.
"If anything bad happens I know he’ll be able to sort it. I don't know how much he'll be able to sort it without his phone, but I feel safe with him. I don't think I'd be able to do it with anyone else. Even my bestest, bestest friends from childhood. I don't think I'd be able to trust them to the level that I trust him."
Mobeen added: "Simply put, she's my best friend. I can't see me doing this with anyone else."
You can watch Race Across the World on BBC One at tonight at 9pm on Wednesday (March 22) and BBC iPlayer here. It will air every week thereafter for nine episodes in total.
