A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being hit by a car in Toryglen at the weekend.
The woman was struck by a car travelling westbound along Prospecthill Road outside St Brigid’s Catholic Church near the junction with Glenmore Avenue around 7.50pm on Sunday (March 6).
Emergency services attended and the 52-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Medical staff have described the woman’s condition as life-threatening.

The 39-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
Police have launched an appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
Sergeant Kenny Malaney of Road Policing Unit Glasgow said: “This incident happened in a very busy area, so we know there will have been a number of people around who witnessed the crash.
“We are currently trying to establish exactly what happened here and I would ask anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
"In particular, I would ask anyone with dash cam devices to check their footage as it could hold images which could prove to be significant in our enquiries.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3085 of Sunday, 6 March 2022."
