Glasgow woman banned from keeping dogs after causing 'unnecessary suffering' to pet

A Glasgow woman has been banned from keeping animals for five years and handed a £180 fine after causing unnecessary suffering to a dog.

Alice McClymont of Ryeside Road pled guilty to the charge of causing unnecessary suffering by failing to provide appropriate veterinary treatment for her four-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier, Tia, at Glasgow Sheriff Court on January 26.

Tia was found suffering from a skin and ear infection that was so severe that she had hair loss and broken skin all over her face and one eye was swollen shut.
