A host of betting gurus have named the most likely cities across the UK to see a white Christmas in 2022. And Glasgow tops the list.
Experts at OLBG have announced their yearly white Christmas page for 2022, with Glasgow sharing the top spot for snowfall alongside fellow Scottish city Edinburgh, and just south of the border Newcastle. The trio currently sit at 3/1 favourites for snowfall on December 25.
The white Christmas section on Gambling.com is also regularly updated with odds, as weather tends to fluctuate often in the run-up to the big day. As things stand Glasgow is sitting as favourites for snowfall, with a 25 per cent probability for the city to be blanketed in wintry weather.

The next city to sit at decent odds is Belfast and Manchester, with a 20 per cent probability and a 4/1 odds. Liverpool and Birmingham have 5/1 odds and a 16.7 per cent probability rate, with London, Cardiff and Dublin all tying for last at 6/1 odds and a 14.3 per cent chance of snow.
Christmas Day back in 2010 was the last time widespread snowfall was reported across the UK, meaning we haven’t witnessed a real white Christmas for 12 years.
The Met Office defines a white Christmas as one single snowflake falling through the 24 hours of December 25.
Joe Short, Gambling.com analyst, said: "Betting sites believe the odds of a white Christmas in 2022 are less likely than they were last year as forecasters predict wet and windy weather ahead for the United Kingdom.
"There’s nothing more magical than waking up on Christmas day to see a smattering of snow falling outside your window. But Gambling.com can reveal that the UK could miss out on snowfall this year, after parts of Scotland were treated to the white stuff in 2021.
"The slight reduction in the chances of a white Christmas this year is perhaps understandable. The UK endured an uncharacteristically hot summer and has been treated to a deluge of rain in October, which has caused flash floods in the south east.
"High pressure is expected to eventually envelop the country at the beginning of winter but the Met Office has warned that might not last long, with a return to wet and windy conditions in January."
Glasgow will continue to be hit with spells of wet weather over the next week, however, Glaswegians may have to brace themselves for wintry weather soon.
