The principal of Glasgow University has said he is 'deeply concerned' about the current conflict in Ukraine but has reassured that all students have left the country.
Anton Muscatelli released a statement confirming that the University "have been working hard in recent days to offer support and advice to University of Glasgow students who were studying in Ukraine, all of whom have now safely left the country".
He added they continue to make contact with students in the Russian Federation and are "supporting them to leave at the earliest opportunity".

The university is also offering support to students with links to Ukraine, links to the Russian Federation and any wider Eastern European region students who are studying in Glasgow.
They are advising that no staff or students travel to the affected parts of Eastern Europe.
Mr Muscatelli added: "I would like to express my deep concern and support for all students and colleagues with connections to Ukraine in the context of the developing conflict in the country. I know this will be a worrying time for many members of our community, particularly for our Ukrainian students and staff, and I wish to reassure you all that we are monitoring the rapidly-evolving situation very closely.
"We appreciate this is a difficult and anxious time for many in our community, especially for our students and colleagues concerned about family and friends in Ukraine. Please know that the thoughts of the University community are with all those affected and a wide range of UofG services, support and counselling is available to students and colleagues. Students can also contact their Student Support Officer or the SRC Advice Centre for support."
