This week will see highs of 24C with today (May 30) being the peak as Glasgow's weather is getting ready for summer - at long last.

With several concerts on the horizon, the countdown to TRNSMT is now on with the Glasgow Green music festival just around the corner.

And it seems that everyone is getting in the summer spirit, boosted by this weeks heatwave.

According to forecasters at the BBC, the city will start off with temperatures sitting around 8C at 6am with it quickly rising to 15C by 10am.

Just hours later after lunchtime, at around 1pm, temperatures are set to soar even further with highs of 22C, and eventually 24C, reaching its peak at around 4pm.

So if you are planning on a BBQ after work, today could be the perfect opportunity with not a rain drop set to fall from the ksy.

And it better news, there's set to be minimal clouds too so you don't need to worry about the sun hiding from you.
